It is hard to believe that it is February! Fall has flown by! We are celebrating winter and all its fun activities. Below are a few examples of our fun activities with your child.
February Weekly Themes: Little Chefs, Love & Friendship, Leadership, & Fairytales. ***Weekly Walking Field Trips. Dates will be released each week and are weather-dependent ***
Feb 2nd … Groundhog Day
Feb 3rd … the 100th day of school!
Feb 4th … National Homemade Soup Day (we are making crockpot Chicken, rice, and veggie soup for snack)
Feb 6th … National Frozen Yogurt Day, we are making frozen yogurt popsicles.
Feb 7th … Baking cookies for Friday!
Feb 13th & 14th … Valentines Day (Celebrated on Feb 13th and 14th) More details from your teacher as the date gets closer.
Feb 17th … Kids Way Closed, President’s Day!
Feb 20th … Movie and PJ Day
Feb 27th … Fairytale Dress-Up Day, dress as your favorite fairytale character
Kindergarten enrollment for the 2025-26 school year has not yet been announced.
Typically, each elementary school will have kindergarten information on its website in early March and enrollment packets for the school year are available at the end of February. Children must be five-years-old by Aug. 31, 2025 to enroll in kindergarten. When enrolling your child, please bring the completed enrollment packet, an official copy of the child's birth certificate, proof of immunization, and proof of residence in Lake Stevens School District. Enrollment is limited to those students who live within school district boundaries. Once I have more information and a firm registration date, I will pass it along to Kids Way families via Lillio.
Kids Way Registration for Fall Preschool/PreK and School Age Summer Camp
We will be opening registration for Preschool/PreK Fall 2025 and School Age (Kindergarten thru 5th Grade) Summer Camp this month. Currently enrolled families have priority and early registration. We will open registration for the general public a week following priority enrollment.

Can you believe it is February?
Weren’t we just putting our Christmas tree up? Believe it or not, your child is just about halfway through the school year! Time goes by so quickly, before you know it your elementary student will be in high school, yikes! Remember to take time and cherish these early years with your child. Document them not only in your heart but in tangible ways that you will be able to refer back to and relive these early, innocent years. Before you know it they will ask for the car keys and you will need something funny and enduring to lift your spirits.
Upcoming dates to remember:
NO SCHOOL FRIDAY THE 14TH AND MONDAY THE 17TH, Kids Way will be open Friday the 14th, BUT NOT MONDAY, President's Day. Please be sure to sign up on the sign-up sheet. March 3rd through 7th is conference week, early release,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Gordie 13th.
Please remember to dress your child appropriately for the weather:
We go outside every day unless the weather is dangerous. Also, your child needs a full water bottle sent with them every day, hydration is important to growing bodies.
Remember to review our “severe weather” policies so you are not unprepared for late starts or closures. February can often bring winter conditions that cause delays or closures.
